Ali Al Murtaza r.a was the fourth Caliph of Muslims was selected by a committee which was constituted by Hazrat Umar and was charged to select a Caliph of Muslims, this committee also selected the third Caliph Hazrat Usman r.a, after the martyrdom of Usman r.a, this committee also choose Hazrat Ali r.a as fourth Caliph and Leader of Muslims, as well as Shiites have different views and faith about Hzrat Ali r.a, the reign of Hazrat Ali was very tough and full of problem with political and non political problems and issues, Ali r,a was the cousin of Muhammad PBUH who grew up with him in same house and in age of 21 Ali was married with youngest daughter of Muhammad pbuh, during the caliph-hood of Usman and Umar , Ali was the part of Committee and he took care of city of Caliph during their absence from the city. Ali was assassinated and martyred on 21 Ramzan in Kufa.
